This season’s statement-making sweaters make updating your look comfortably effortless.
The key is to keep the silhouettes modern and structured, but cut in knits with a soft texture —
so you can layer it over your seasonal staples, like a leather skirt, with minimal effort.
“Jim Jarmusch’s Only Lovers Left Alive and the rich, patchworked world that the central characters inhabit was the starting point of this collection,” says Joseph Altuzarra of his artfully embellished fall range.
Curiosity is at the core of the fall 2016 Altuzarra collection, which looks to a rich palette of antique Indian textiles as well as the Persian-derived paisleys of the iconic American bandana. “I wanted to be free to follow my curiosity about the world we live in, and weave a tapestry of references and stories into this collection,” notes Altuzarra. “I also wanted this to speak to women who I knew, and the reality of their lives.” He chose his sartorial words wisely, favoring silk crepes, floral jacquards, rich leathers, and pearl buttons.
