The true start to summer is finally here — welcome to June.  With this month comes that Friday feeling of being on the precipice of a break of sorts, a chance to exhale.  While summer is busy here at Modern Citizen (believe it or not, planning for Fall is in full swing!), it’s also a time for travel, conviviality, and decompression.

Our Summer collection and campaign, named Marea Club (marea meaning “tide” in languages spoken from Central America to the Mediterranean), references a fictional vacation destination, and is meant to evoke the energy and tranquility of the perfect summer holiday.  The clothes are special, yet unfussy…built for the realities of life in the summertime, from chasing kids to hot commutes and long nights out, without sacrificing that little bit of fantasy that the season inspires both home and away.  

There’s much to celebrate this time of year — from life milestones like weddings and showers, to the thoughtful observance of Juneteenth and Pride Month, to the true luxury of longer days and quality time with friends and family.  We hope you enjoy it all, in clothes that make you feel confident, present, and help you effortlessly embody that summer state of mind.
