Cashmere

In our very first year, we debuted our Side-Zip Cashmere Sweater.
Little did we know how meaningful it would be — a forever favorite that’s
more than just a sweater.  It’s a piece that embodies our core values:
In honor of its third anniversary, we’re introducing two new colors.
We couldn’t imagine a better way to convey its unique versatility than by
sharing it on insightful and inspiring women from our community.

ON FEELING HER BEST
Sitting around a table with the hilarious, intelligent, strong-minded women I’m lucky to call my friends.  They challenge and bring out the best in me.
WHAT SHE ADMIRES IN OTHERS
Intentionality.  The people I’m closest to are exceptionally thoughtful, and have taught me to approach others (and life!) with a clear sense of purpose.
A WOMAN SHE LOOKS UP TO
My best friend Grace.  She just took the plunge to move from San Francisco to London — and I find her adventurous spirit endlessly inspiring.
WHAT SHE’S LEARNED
If I could tell my younger self one thing, it’d be to not be skeptical of happiness.  Embrace the people and things in your life that give you joy.
HER IDEAL WEEKEND
My boyfriend and I love hosting dinners, so it’d involve a new Bon Appetit recipe, Negronis, and our friends.  I also try to escape my neighborhood for a new restaurant or workout class — and to get some quality time outside!
Embrace the people and things
in your life that give you joy.”

ON HERSELF
I would describe my personality as bold, ambitious, open-minded... and straightforward.  If I had an autobiography, it’d be called I Do What I Want.
WOMEN SHE LOOKS UP TO
The ladies in my family are incredible.  I’m proud that my mom and sisters are my best friends.  They’re kind, honest, and the strongest women I know.
WHAT SHE’S LEARNED
My path has been anything but conventional.  I went from being a school counselor to a startup intern, ending up in venture capital.  It’s so important to remember, don’t sweat the small stuff — learn a lot and trust the journey.
HER FAVORITE PLACE
My grandparents’ home in Taipei is near to my heart.  My favorite memories are of massive family sleepovers and my loved ones all gathered together.
HER IDEAL WEEKEND
In San Francisco, it’d involve food and sights — from pho in the Sunset to Golden Gate Park, or a pierside stroll to Fisherman’s Wharf for mini donuts.

learn a lot and trust the journey.”

ON FEELING HER BEST
I feel most like myself when I’m being active in nature or just sitting by the ocean.  It makes me feel grounded in a way that compares to nothing else.
HER FAVORITE PLACE
Before med school, I visited Ghana and truly felt that I belonged.  Science later confirmed my intuition when I discovered my West African ancestry!
ON RELATIONSHIPS
I prefer to hug people when we meet and when we part.  With so much time spent online, it’s imperative to have an authentic heart-to-heart-connection.
WHAT SHE ADMIRES IN OTHERS
Integrity.  Someone with an internal code of consistency and honesty that you can depend on, who shows up fully present, engaged, and committed to their words and actions.  It’s something I am always striving to achieve.
WHAT SHE’S LEARNED
Make more mistakes.  When you release control, there’s great insight to be gained.  As a recovering perfectionist, I now allow space for imperfection.

there’s insight to be gained.”

ON HERSELF
I’d describe myself as thoughtful, driven, and optimistic.  I’m big on “possibility” in uncertainty, and turning challenges into opportunities.
ON BEING A MODERN WOMAN
A modern woman embodies and embraces feminism — she’s strong in every role, from mother to professional.  Most of all, she’s just true to herself.
ON FEELING HER BEST
I feel my best when I’m surrounded by co-workers, friends, and family who bring out my playful side — and inspire me with their positive energy.
WHAT SHE’S LEARNED
Years of putting pressure on myself proved unproductive, and it took a toll on my own confidence.  Practice patience and don’t be too hard on yourself.
HER IDEAL WEEKEND
It would start with the breakfast of champions — pancakes — and then a yoga class or an outdoor picnic with friends.  In the evening, cocktail hour followed up by a long marathon of my favorite Netflix show.  Repeat!
Practice patience and don’t
be too hard on yourself.”

Calling a friend and asking, “How are you?”
ON HERSELF
A feminist, friend, and leader.  In my life and my work as an artist, every day I wake up with the intention to explore both imagination and community.
ON BEING A MODERN WOMAN
One of the qualities I admire most is authenticity.  An essential part of being a modern woman is truly and genuinely supporting the women around you.
ON FEELING HER BEST
I spend a lot of time thinking about how to inspire others to make art part of their everyday lives.  Most of us don’t realize that we have the power to inspire those around us, and to lift them up.  When I can do that, I’m happy.
WOMEN SHE LOOKS UP TO
Powerful and trailblazing women — from political leaders Indira Gandhi and Benazir Bhutto to impactful artists like Yoko Ono and Ella Fitzgerald.
HER IDEAL WEEKEND
Morning tea, followed by an afternoon stroll through the Mission.  Ideally ending the day with dinner at home, evening jazz, wine... and a good book.
“We have the power to inspire those
around us, and to lift them up.”
