This color is better described as "faded rust" with orange undertones. It is not crisp and bright as the definition of the color "crimson" and the website photos would leave you to believe. Definition: Crimson is a vibrant, deep red color with a slight purplish or bluish undertone. This dress color has is a faded cotton sweatshirt appearance.
